Description
The Pentax CR100 230v (code 022-320) is a surface-mounted centrifugal pump with an open impeller that handles soft solids up to 10 mm. It delivers up to 280 litres per minute and reaches a maximum head of 20.5 metres from a 0.74 kW motor, through a 1½” inlet and 1¼” outlet, running on standard 230v single-phase mains at 5.3 A.
The CR100 is the larger single-phase model, for longer hose runs, raised delivery points or jobs where you need more water than the CR75 provides. It still gives around 15.5 metres of head at 200 l/min, against 9.5 metres from the CR75 at the same flow. For lighter duties the Pentax CR75 230v uses a smaller 0.59 kW motor, and where a three-phase supply is available the Pentax CRT100 400v gives identical performance at a lower current.
Like every pump in the CR range, it has a cast iron pump body and motor bracket, a stainless steel shaft and a ceramic and graphite mechanical seal. The open impeller passes soft solids up to 10 mm, the suction inlet is 1½” and the delivery outlet 1¼”, and Pentax rates the pump body for a maximum operating pressure of 6 bar. The motor is a two-pole induction motor with class F insulation and IPX4 protection, so it needs to be installed under cover.
Features
- Open impeller passes soft solids up to 10 mm
- Cast iron pump body and motor bracket
- Ceramic and graphite mechanical seal
- 0.74 kW motor, 230v single-phase, 5.3 A
- Up to 280 l/min and 20.5 m head
- 1½” inlet and 1¼” outlet
Applications
- Irrigation where the water has to be lifted or pushed along a longer pipe run
- Filling raised tanks and troughs
- Washing systems needing more flow than the CR75
- Farm and nursery water transfer on single-phase power
Suitable for clean water and water carrying soft solids up to 10 mm, such as silt, fine grit and plant debris. Not designed for sewage, stones, rag or fibrous material, or for flammable or corrosive liquids. The pump is not self-priming and must never run dry; see our guide on how to prime a pump, or choose a self-priming pump if it has to sit well above the water.
