Description
The JS Pumps JST-37 KZN (code 011-091) is a heavy duty submersible slurry pump with a built-in agitator, for sand, silt, sludge and muddy water. It delivers up to 1,730 litres per minute and a maximum head of 15.5 metres from a 3.7 kW motor, through a 3-inch top outlet, on a 400v three-phase supply, and passes solids up to 20 mm. It is the smallest and lightest pump in the KZN range, and the one to start with for smaller sumps and settling pits.
There is no high head or high flow version at this size. The next model up is the JST-55 KZN, with a 5.5 kW motor, a 4-inch outlet and up to 2,430 l/min to 19 m. If you need more lift at 5.5 kW, look at the JST-55 KZN-H.
Like every KZN pump, it has a high chrome iron impeller, agitator and suction cover (wear plate) to resist abrasion, with the agitator stirring settled solids back into suspension at the inlet so they are carried out rather than left to block the pump. Double silicon carbide mechanical seals run in an oil chamber, protected by a lip seal and a shaft sleeve. The top outlet and water jacket use the pumped liquid to cool the motor, and the 4-pole motor runs at 1,500 rpm on 50 Hz with a built-in overload protector.
Features
- Up to 1,730 l/min and 15.5 m head
- 3.7 kW 4-pole motor, 1,500 rpm on 50 Hz, 400v three-phase
- 3″ top outlet
- Solids passage up to 20 mm
- Built-in agitator keeps solids in suspension at the inlet
- High chrome iron impeller, agitator and suction cover
- Double silicon carbide mechanical seals in an oil chamber, with lip seal and shaft sleeve
- Water jacket cooling and built-in overload protector
Applications
- Silty sumps and settling pits on construction sites
- Small excavations and trenches with sandy inflow
- Wash bay and wheel wash silt traps
- Agricultural drainage where the water carries soil and grit
Built for abrasive solids such as sand, silt, grit and sludge. It is not a sewage pump for rag, wipes and fibres, and is not intended for oils, solvents or chemicals. Solids are limited to 20 mm on this model, so for coarser material step up to the JST-55 KZN or larger. A three-phase starter or control panel with motor protection is needed to run it.
