Description
The JS Pumps JST-55 KZN-H (code 011-088) is a heavy duty high head submersible slurry pump with a built-in agitator, for sand, silt, sludge and muddy water. It delivers up to 2,205 litres per minute and a maximum head of 20.5 metres from a 5.5 kW motor, through a 3-inch top outlet, on a 400v three-phase supply, and passes solids up to 25 mm. It is the high head version of the JST-55 KZN, on a smaller 3-inch outlet.
The standard JST-55 KZN uses the same 5.5 kW motor and moves more water, up to 2,430 l/min, but reaches only 19 m on a 4-inch outlet. Choose the KZN-H when your lift is close to or beyond that. For more head again, the JST-75 KZN-H reaches 23.5 m.
Like every KZN pump, it has a high chrome iron impeller, agitator and suction cover (wear plate) to resist abrasion, with the agitator stirring settled solids back into suspension at the inlet so they are carried out rather than left to block the pump. Double silicon carbide mechanical seals run in an oil chamber, protected by a lip seal and a shaft sleeve. The top outlet and water jacket use the pumped liquid to cool the motor, and the 4-pole motor runs at 1,500 rpm on 50 Hz with a built-in overload protector.

Built for abrasive solids such as sand, silt, grit and sludge. It is not a sewage pump for rag, wipes and fibres, and is not intended for oils, solvents or chemicals. At low heads the standard JST-55 KZN will move more water. A three-phase starter or control panel with motor protection is needed to run it.
