Well Buddy 1000P

Description

The Well Buddy 1000P (code 022-952) is a plastic multistage submersible pump with a stainless steel casing and a built-in automatic pressure control switch, for supplying clean water on demand from wells, springs, clean rivers and storage tanks. It delivers up to 100 litres per minute and a maximum head of 45 metres (4.5 bar) from a 1.0 kW motor, through a 1″ BSP outlet, on standard 230v single-phase mains.

The pressure control switch starts the pump when you open a tap, hose or sprinkler and stops it when you close it, and a non-return valve is built in, so there is no separate float or pressure switch to fit. If you only need to empty or transfer water by level, the Well Buddy 1000A has the same 4-stage design with a float switch instead, rated to 110 l/min. For more flow or a 110v supply, the JS-530 Well Buddy is a separate JS Pumps range with a 1.3 kW motor, rated to 140 l/min.

Inside, four plastic impeller stages are stacked in a stainless steel casing. Stacking stages is what lets a 1.0 kW motor reach 45 metres of head, at the cost of some volume compared with a single-impeller drainage pump. The 1″ BSP outlet comes with a stepped hosetail that takes 1″ hose, ¾” hose or a ¾” threaded fitting.

The 1000P is 535 mm tall and 150 mm in diameter, weighs 13 kg, draws 4.9 A and comes with a 15 metre power cable, giving you more reach to the socket than the 1000A.

For clean water only, with no suspended solids or abrasive material. It is not a drainage or dirty water pump, it is not a mains pressure booster, and at 150 mm across it will not fit a standard 4-inch or 5-inch borehole.
