Description
The Pentax CM50 230v (code 022-110) is a compact single impeller centrifugal pump for clean water at moderate pressure. It reaches a maximum head of 21.5 metres and delivers up to 90 litres per minute from a 0.37 kW (0.5 hp) motor, through a 1″ threaded outlet, running on 230v single-phase at 2.8 A.
The CM50 is the smallest pump in the Pentax CM range. Pentax gives it 19.0 metres at 40 l/min, 17.0 metres at 60 l/min and 12.0 metres at its full 90 l/min. If you need more pressure at the same flow, the Pentax CM100/61 230v holds 25.2 metres at 90 l/min from a 0.74 kW motor.
Like the CM100/61 it has a 1″ threaded inlet and outlet. The pump body and motor bracket are cast iron, the motor shaft is AISI 416 stainless steel and the mechanical seal is ceramic and graphite. The two-pole motor has class F insulation, and Pentax rates the pump for a maximum operating pressure of 6 bar.

For clean water only. The CM50 is not designed for dirty water, solids, sewage, or flammable or corrosive liquids, and it must never run dry. It is not self-priming, so install it with a flooded suction or a foot valve. It has no pressure switch, so it runs whenever power is applied; add a suitable control for automatic boosting. It comes with a Noryl impeller as standard, which limits the liquid temperature to 50 °C.
