Description
The JS JST-55KBH (code 011-124) is the high-head version of the 5.5 kW KB slurry pump. On a 400v three-phase supply it lifts to a maximum of 34 metres and delivers up to 1,220 litres per minute through a 3-inch top outlet, with a built-in agitator and 10 mm solids passage.
The H suffix means a pump end built for pressure rather than volume. Compared with the standard JST-55KB (1,540 l/min, 22 m, 4-inch outlet) you gain 12 m of head but give up some flow. That makes the JST-55KBH the right choice for deep sumps, long rising mains or discharge points well above the water. If you need more head again, the JST-75KBH reaches 43 m.
Every KB pump shares the same build. The impeller, suction wear plate and agitator are abrasion-resistant high-chrome iron, the motor casing is cast iron and the shaft is 410 stainless steel, protected by a shaft sleeve where abrasives cause wear. Double mechanical seals (silicon carbide and carbon) run in a separate oil chamber, with an additional lip seal to keep grit away from them. The motor has Class H insulation and thermal overload protection, which trips on high current or high temperature, and JS Pumps uses an enhanced cable entry sealing system. The outlet is at the top, so the pumped liquid passes the motor and helps cool it for continuous duty.
Features
- High-head pump end: up to 34 m
- Up to 1,220 l/min
- 5.5 kW, 400v three-phase motor
- 3″ top outlet
- Built-in high-chrome agitator
- Solids passage up to 10 mm
- Double mechanical seals, lip seal and thermal overload protection
Applications
- Deep quarry and pit sumps
- Pumping sandy water up to a high bank or lagoon
- Long hose or pipe runs from excavations
- Shaft and deep foundation dewatering
The curve for this model falls away steeply at higher flows, so it suits jobs where head is the priority. If lift is modest, the standard JST-55KB will move more water for the same power. These pumps are built for water carrying sand, silt and light slurry with particles up to 10 mm. They are not designed for raw sewage, rag or fibrous material, for which the JST SV sewage vortex pumps are the better choice, or for chemicals and hydrocarbons.
