Description
The Pentair Jung Drenox 80/7 Automatic 230v (code 555-009, Jung N1031100) is the float-switched version of the smallest Drenox stainless steel submersible drainage pump. It has a 0.2 kW motor (0.3 kW absorbed) drawing 1.3 A on 230v single-phase mains and a 1¼” outlet. Jung Pumpen’s table gives 57 litres per minute at 2 metres of head, 43 l/min at 3 m and 17 l/min at 5 m, with the curve ending at 6 m.
The float switch starts the pump at a water level of about 250 mm and stops it at about 100 mm, so it looks after a small sump, a rainwater pit under a grille or a boiler room drain without you being there. If you want to clear a floor to 3 mm, use the Drenox 80/7 Manual 230v instead. For more flow in the same kind of sump, the Drenox 160/8 Automatic 230v gives around 100 l/min at 3 m.
Like every Drenox, it is made entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel: pump housing, impeller and motor casing. The stainless steel shaft has ceramic inserts where the seal wears, the double seal is NBR rubber with a sand guard V-ring running in an oil chamber, and the ball bearings are self-lubricating. A heat exchange chamber cools the motor, so the pump can run for long periods without being fully submerged. The motor is IP68 with Class F insulation and runs at 2850 rpm. The pump is rated for immersion to 7 metres and water up to 40°C, and comes with 10 metres of H07RN-F cable and an elbow hose fitting for 32 mm hose on the 1¼” outlet.
The single-phase motor has a thermal overload built into the winding that resets automatically.
Features
- All AISI 304 stainless steel construction
- Float switch: starts at about 250 mm, stops at about 100 mm
- 0.2 kW motor, 230v, 1.3 A, built-in thermal overload
- 1¼” outlet with elbow fitting for 32 mm hose
- Double NBR seal with sand guard, in an oil chamber
- 10 m of cable; 5.7 kg
Applications
- Small cellar and boiler room sumps
- Rainwater pits under grilles and gullies
- Condensate and water softener discharge sumps
Size the sump so the pump starts no more than 30 times an hour, and leave room for the float to move freely.
For clear water, partly dirty water and non-aggressive liquids up to 40°C, with solids no larger than 3 mm. It must never run completely dry, and it is not suitable for sewage, sludge, leaves or rag, or for flammable or dangerous liquids. For dirtier water with soft solids, see the Jung Omnia vortex pumps; for sewage, the Jung Nocchi Priox range.

Flow is converted from Jung Pumpen’s published performance tables for the 230v and 400v pumps. Jung does not publish separate figures for the 110v 80/7. Automatic versions stop at the float switch-off level shown. See the Pentair Jung Drenox drainage pump range page for help choosing and answers to common questions.
