Description
The Pentair Jung Drenox 160/8 Manual 230v (code 555-012, Jung N1031020) is the mid-size Drenox stainless steel submersible drainage pump. It has a 0.4 kW motor (0.55 kW absorbed) drawing 2.4 A on 230v single-phase mains and a 1¼” outlet, and passes solids up to 6 mm. Jung Pumpen’s table gives 103 litres per minute at 3 metres of head, 82 l/min at 4 m and 60 l/min at 5 m, with the curve ending at 7 m.
It moves more than twice the water of the 80/7 at the same lift, which makes it a good all-round pump for emptying a cellar, tank or pool. In manual form it pumps down to about 35 mm. The Drenox 160/8 Automatic 230v is the float-switched version, the Drenox 80/7 Manual 230v pumps lower (3 mm) at less flow, and the Drenox 250/10 Manual 230v gives about 180 l/min at 3 m.
Like every Drenox, it is made entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel: pump housing, impeller and motor casing. The stainless steel shaft has ceramic inserts where the seal wears, the double seal is NBR rubber with a sand guard V-ring running in an oil chamber, and the ball bearings are self-lubricating. A heat exchange chamber cools the motor, so the pump can run for long periods without being fully submerged. The motor is IP68 with Class F insulation and runs at 2850 rpm. The pump is rated for immersion to 7 metres and water up to 40°C, and comes with 10 metres of H07RN-F cable and an elbow hose fitting for 32 mm hose on the 1¼” outlet.
The single-phase motor has a thermal overload built into the winding that resets automatically.

For clear water, partly dirty water and non-aggressive liquids up to 40°C, with solids no larger than 6 mm, such as silt and fine grit. It must never run completely dry, and it is not suitable for sewage, sludge, leaves or rag, or for flammable or dangerous liquids.
