Description
The JS RST-75 400v (code 012-075) is a three-phase top outlet submersible drainage pump for clean and dirty water. It delivers up to 1,720 litres per minute and a maximum head of 32 metres from a 7.5 kW motor, through a 4″ outlet, on a 400v three-phase supply. It is the highest-volume pump in the RST range, built for the largest dewatering and transfer jobs on a 400v supply.
It is a manual pump with no float switch, so it runs whenever power is applied. For automatic operation it is wired through a three-phase control panel with level floats; see our pump controls. In the same range, the JS RST-75H is the high head version, 1,310 l/min to 41.5 m, and the JS RST-55 is the 5.5 kW model, 1,670 l/min to 29 m.
Like the rest of the RST range, it has a stainless steel outer case, shaft and motor case, with a cast iron lower motor bearing and seal housing, motor top cover and volute. Twin mechanical seals (carbon ceramic and silicon carbide) run in a lubricated oil chamber. Water is drawn in through the strainer at the base and discharged through the outlet on top, and the pump is supplied with 10 metres of power cable. JS’s datasheet for the 2.2 kW and larger models adds a double case that sends the pumped water around the motor for cooling, thermal overload protection in the motor, and a stator that can be rewound without being removed from the motor frame.

Applications
- Dewatering excavations, basements and lift pits with high inflow
- Large water features, fountains and waterfalls
- Agricultural irrigation and water transfer
- Flood clearance on sites with a 400v supply
The RST range is for clean and dirty water. It is not a sewage pump and is not designed for raw sewage, rag, fibrous material, sludge, oil or chemicals: for sewage on a 400v supply, see the JST SV sewage vortex pumps. It needs a 400v three-phase supply, should stand upright (JS advises these pumps must not be installed lying on their side), and, like any standard submersible, it stops drawing once the water falls below the intake.
