Description
The Pentair Jung Drenox 350/12 Automatic 230v (code 555-028, Jung N1031080) is the largest automatic Drenox stainless steel submersible drainage pump. It has a 0.8 kW motor (1.2 kW absorbed) drawing 5.1 A on 230v single-phase mains and a 1¼” outlet, and passes solids up to 6 mm. Jung Pumpen’s table gives 275 litres per minute at 2 metres of head, 250 l/min at 3 m, 200 l/min at 5 m and 108 l/min at 8 m, with 38 l/min still at 10 m.
Choose it for a sump that takes a lot of water quickly, such as a rainwater pit serving a large paved area, or one that lifts to a high discharge point. The Drenox 350/12 Manual 230v is the same pump without a float, and the Drenox 250/10 Automatic 230v is the next size down.
Like every Drenox, it is made entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel: pump housing, impeller and motor casing. The stainless steel shaft has ceramic inserts where the seal wears, the double seal is NBR rubber with a sand guard V-ring running in an oil chamber, and the ball bearings are self-lubricating. A heat exchange chamber cools the motor, so the pump can run for long periods without being fully submerged. The motor is IP68 with Class F insulation and runs at 2850 rpm. The pump is rated for immersion to 7 metres and water up to 40°C, and comes with 10 metres of H07RN-F cable and an elbow hose fitting for 32 mm hose on the 1¼” outlet.
The single-phase motor has a thermal overload built into the winding that resets automatically.

Size the sump so the pump starts no more than 30 times an hour, and leave room for the float to move freely.
For clear water, partly dirty water and non-aggressive liquids up to 40°C, with solids no larger than 6 mm, such as silt and fine grit. It must never run completely dry, and it is not suitable for sewage, sludge, leaves or rag, or for flammable or dangerous liquids.
