Description
The Vacusystem VS 170-B300 (code 214-1040) is a single-pump sewage package station that lifts sewage and waste water from a bathroom, annexe or outbuilding to a higher drain or sewer. It combines a 170-litre moulded vessel with a stainless steel Pentair Biox 300/10 automatic pump, which delivers up to 350 litres per minute and a maximum head of 11 metres. The pump runs on 230v single phase, drawing 1.3 kW, and passes soft solids up to 40 mm. Discharge is through a 2″ BSP female outlet.
The B300 is the smaller of the two Vacusystem stations and suits short, low discharge runs, such as a ground-floor WC and shower room with a manhole nearby. If the rising main is long or has to climb further, the VS 170-B400 uses the same vessel with the larger Biox 400/12, reaching 450 l/min and 12 m.
Both stations share the same one-piece moulded thermoplastic vessel of 170 litres. The pump stands free on the base of the vessel and connects to the outlet pipework through a quick release coupling and a non-return valve, which stops pumped sewage draining back into the tank. Waste enters through three 4″ (100 mm) plastic knockout inlets that can be opened or drilled to suit, and the discharge is a 2″ BSP female thread. The vessel can stand free in a yard or plant room or be buried in the ground under an inspection cover. No control panel is included or needed for basic operation.
The Biox 300/10 has a stainless steel body, shaft and vortex impeller, with the impeller recessed out of the flow so soft solids pass without wrapping around the blades. Its float switch starts and stops the pump with the level in the vessel, and the IP68 motor has built-in thermal overload protection that resets once the motor cools. Pentair recommends a supply protected by a 30 mA RCD.

Suitable for domestic sewage and waste water up to 40°C. It is not designed for wipes, sanitary products, rag, building debris or heavy fat and grease, and as a compact single-pump station without an alarm panel it is not intended to serve a whole house or several properties. To join standard 110 mm soil pipe to an inlet, add the 110 mm to 100 mm adapter.

Dimension drawing: the vessel measures about 750 mm long, 550 mm wide and 750 mm high to the top of the lid, as shown in the drawing above.
