JS Box 250 Domestic Pumping Station 9000-4065

Description

The JS Box 250 (code 9000-4065) is the larger JS Box domestic pumping station: a ready-made box with a JS Pumps JS-250SV vortex pump fitted, for lifting grey water from basins, sinks, baths and showers that sit below the drain. The pump delivers up to 240 litres per minute and a maximum head of 6.5 metres from a 0.25 kW motor, through a 1½” outlet, on a 230v single-phase supply drawing 1.9 A. It switches automatically on an AGMA W float switch.

Choose the 250 over the JS Box 150 when more than one appliance can drain at once, such as a bath and a basin, or when the lift and pipe run are longer: it holds more flow at working heads and passes larger soft solids. It needs more space at 452 x 400 x 600 mm (H x W x L) and weighs around 16 kg. The pump is also sold on its own in the JS-250SV sewage vortex pump range, in manual and automatic versions for 230v and 110v.

The JS-250SV has a cast iron pump chamber, motor lid and seal housing, with a stainless steel shaft and outer motor casing and twin mechanical seals running in a lubricated chamber. Its plastic vortex impeller sits back from the inlet and spins the water rather than forcing everything through the blades, so soft solids up to 36 mm pass with less risk of blockage.

The JS Box 250 is for grey water only. It is not for toilet waste: for a WC, choose a Vacusystem sewage pump station. Check the flow at your real lift before you buy: at 4 metres of head the pump gives roughly 100 litres per minute, and flow falls to nothing at 6.5 metres.
