Description

The Koshin Ponstar PBX7 55011 110v Automatic pump (code 040-702A) is a heavy-duty 2-inch submersible pump for sandy site water and clean water. It delivers up to 330 litres per minute and lifts to a maximum head of 15 metres from a 750 W motor, running on 110v, the reduced-voltage supply used on UK construction sites through a site transformer.

This is the automatic version, supplied with a float switch that starts the pump as the water rises and stops it as the level falls, so it can look after a sump, excavation or flooded area unattended. The PBX7 55011 110v Manual is the same pump with manual operation, and the PBX 55011 110v Automatic is the smaller 400 W version for jobs that need less lift.

Every PBX has an air valve that stops the pump air-locking on start-up and keeps air flowing through it to cool the motor if the water runs out, plus a thermal protector that cuts the power if the motor overheats. Twin mechanical seals (carbon and silicon carbide) run in a lubricated chamber, the capacitor-start motor gives strong starting torque, and the 2-inch outlet comes with a hose tail and can be turned to suit the hose run. Not suitable for heavy silt, clay or thick mud, sewage, salt water, oil or chemicals. Koshin rates the pump for liquids between 5 and 40°C.
