Description
The Pentax CMT 214 400v (code 022-140) is a three-phase single impeller centrifugal pump for clean water at high pressure. It reaches a maximum head of 50 metres and delivers up to 120 litres per minute from a 1.5 kW (2 hp) motor, through a 1¼” inlet and 1″ outlet, running on 400v three-phase at 4.9 A.
The CMT 214 is the largest pump in the set. Pentax gives it 46.5 metres at 60 l/min and 39.4 metres at 120 l/min, so it holds a high pressure across a wide range of demand. If you only have a 230v single-phase supply, the Pentax CM100/61 230v is the most powerful single-phase option, with 33 metres of head and 90 l/min.
The CMT 214 has a larger pump end than the 230v models, with a 1¼” threaded inlet and a 1″ outlet. The pump body and motor bracket are cast iron, the motor shaft is AISI 303 stainless steel and the mechanical seal is ceramic and graphite. The two-pole motor has class F insulation, and Pentax rates this size for a maximum operating pressure of 8 bar.

For clean water only. The CMT 214 is not designed for dirty water, solids, sewage, or flammable or corrosive liquids, and it must never run dry. It is not self-priming, so install it with a flooded suction or a foot valve. It needs a 400v three-phase supply and should be wired through a starter with overload protection, and it has no pressure switch, so add a suitable control for automatic boosting. It comes with a Noryl impeller as standard, which limits the liquid temperature to 50 °C.
