Description
The Pentair Versailles 250/10 (code 555-074) is the mid-sized model in the Versailles range of stainless steel submersible fountain pumps. It delivers up to 250 litres per minute and a maximum head of 9.5 metres from a 0.55 kW motor drawing 4.5 A on 230v single-phase, through a 1¼” outlet.
It uses the longer 620 mm body, weighing 7.8 kg, and gives noticeably more height and volume than the Versailles 160/8. Pentair quotes a display of roughly 4.2 metres high and 2.0 metres wide with the Vulcano three-tier head, or a foaming Gaiser jet of about 1.8 metres. That makes it a good fit for medium to large ponds and cascades with a moderate lift. For the tallest displays or the longest lifts, step up to the Versailles 350/12.
Every Versailles pump has an AISI 304 stainless steel pump body, base, intake strainer and impeller, and an AISI 416 stainless shaft with a ceramic sleeve at the wear points. The dry motor is IP68 rated with class F insulation, built-in thermal protection and a capacitor, runs at 2,850 rpm on greased-for-life ball bearings, and is designed for continuous running while submerged, to a maximum depth of 7 metres. A double lubricated seal with a V-ring sand guard protects the motor, and the pump comes with a plastic reducer from the 1¼” outlet to 1″ female and 10 metres of H07RN-F power cable. Fountain heads and sponge filters are optional extras and are not included.

Designed for clean water without solid particles, up to 40°C. The hydraulic passes particles up to 1.5 mm; fit the optional sponge filter for fountain heads with finer nozzles. Not suitable for dirty water, pond sludge, emptying or draining a pond, sewage, or water containing oil or chemicals.
