JS GS-1500 230v Manual Sewage Submersible Pump

Description

The JS Pumps GS-1500 230v Manual (code 020-707) is the high-head model in the single-phase GS grinder range. Its 1.5 kW motor lifts sewage to 22 metres of head, with a maximum flow of 190 litres per minute through a 1¼” outlet, after a cutter and high-chrome grinder ring have shredded the soft solids. It runs on 230v mains and draws 12 A.

Choose it over the GS-1200 230v Manual when the rising main is long or the discharge point is high: the extra 3 metres of head means it holds more of its flow as the load increases. As a manual pump it needs a float switch or control panel in a fixed sump; the GS-1500 230v Automatic has a MAC 3 float switch fitted. At 12 A it uses most of a standard 13 A circuit, so have the supply checked by an electrician.

The pump body, impeller, motor top cover and lower bearing and seal housing are cast iron, and the motor case is stainless steel. Twin mechanical seals (carbon ceramic and silicon carbide) run in a lubricated oil chamber. The side vertical outlet is removable, so the pump can stand free with the hose tail supplied or sit on a guide rail coupling foot for easy lifting out. It comes with 10 metres of power cable.

Designed for sewage and waste water containing soft solids. Not suitable for sand, gravel, stones or other hard debris, which wear or jam the cutter, or for oils, solvents, chemicals or flammable liquids.
